It’s time to protect the people and places we love.
The Blue Dot movement is a national grassroots campaign based on the idea that everyone in Canada deserves the right to a healthy environment, including clean air and water, and a say in decisions that affect our health and well-being.
Since 2014, more than 110,000 people across Canada have stood up to have this right recognized and protected, and it’s working! As a result of volunteer efforts, municipalities have passed resolutions in support.
Based on this success, we are now working to have these rights recognized in federal law, so all Canadians can benefit.
Ultimately, we seek to amend the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to include the right to a healthy environment, so that we can join the 110 countries around the world that already have this right included in their constitutions.
Blue Dot is backed by the David Suzuki Foundation, one of the most trusted environmental organizations in Canada. Together we are building a movement of millions of ordinary people taking extraordinary action to protect our right to a healthy environment and inspire the next generation of environmental leaders.
