Across Canada, people are standing together to call on all levels of government to recognize our right to a healthy environment — clean air and water, safe food, a stable climate and a say in the decisions that affect our health and well-being.

It’s time for you to join them! Become a Blue Dot volunteer and foster connections in your community to build local support and grow the Blue Dot movement. We’ll be there to help you every step of the way.

Already, hundreds of communities across Canada have passed municipal declarations recognizing the right to a healthy environment—yours can be next.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Sign the petition to join the Blue Dot movement.
  2. Download our organizer’s tool kit to learn about environmental rights, the Blue Dot movement and how to engage people in your community.
  3. Attend an online educational gathering to learn storytelling skills and more.
  4. Send your stories and successes to municipal@bluedot.ca. Let us know that you’re taking action in your community.

Once your community organizing group has gained momentum we’ll send you a Municipal Declaration of Environmental Rights for your local government to consider.

The right to a healthy environment starts at the local level, with people like you taking action to protect the people and places you love.

Thank you for taking a leadership role to create positive change!
